A great no frills, great food restaurant. Always a pleasant place to eat, the staff are very nice and friendly and let you dine at your leisure.

I agree with the earlier posting from Maureen.I last visited approx 5 years ago and said at that time I wouldn't return due to the fact that we were rushed and were ignored when we asked if we could have a break between the courses. We felt we were pushed out by 10 pm.Things have not changed a bit as the waiters were watching constantly to refill your drink before your last sip and the glass being put down on the table....they were there practically taking the glass from your hand.We felt that because of this our conversation was constantly being interrupted. We did however ask for a ten minute break between the duck and the main course but felt that we were still being pressurised.Cannot fault the actual food at all but would go elsewhere for a more relaxed evening.A shame as I have known the restaurant for many years and would have thought these issues would have been addressed by now.

Went here for a party. I had called in advance to advise that I was a vegan and was assured that it was fine. I also advised the waiter on the night, so when he brought me a plate of delicious-looking food I had no problem tucking in. It tasted like tofu, so I only checked when the same waiter asked if I ate seafood. I said No, Im a vegan. What is this? He told me it was chicken! I was absolutely fuming. Having not eaten chicken for 25 years, I was not only angry but really upset. He then confessed he didnt know what a vegan is!!! Then when I got a replacement dish I said so this has got no meat, no fish, no dairy and no eggs, correct? He then proceeded to remove one of the items which was made with egg. I am staggered that a restaurant business does not seem to understand what a vegan is. Thank god I didnt have any allergies is all I can say. Dont go there if you are vegetarian or vegan. Just dont.

Sunday buffet at 1pm.Food Luke warm.coke drinks lacking in fizz.Staff friendly .Been here many times over the years and have always been very happy.Would have been cheaper and hotter if we had ordered a takeaway from next door for the 11 strong partyLets hope this was a one off bad day

Great food and service. The starter for two is really good and gives a great sampling of quite few of the starters. There is a large choice of main courses. Sweet and Sour chicken was lovely. Szechuan Express next door is great for takeaways too.
